The Web Platform Healthsciences has many preconfigured menus to make navigation on your pages easier. You have the ability to embed them into your site. The instructions below outline how to create the left navigation menu that is found on the medschool.ucla.edu site.

Configuring a Menu Embed Component

Click Edit content.

Click the plus icon where you want to place the component.

Select Menu Embed from the menu.

From this dropdown menu, select the desired menu. For medschool.ucla.edu users, select the first Main navigation

Expand Menu levels.

In the Initial visibility level dropdown menu, select 2.

Check the Expand all menu links.

Expand the Advanced options.

In the Use as title dropdown menu, select Active trail’s parent title.

Click Save.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
