The Dean's List
A few things to know
We have recently begun a new medical education and training year at the David Geffen School of Medicine, and we extend a warm welcome to everyone—both returning members of our community and those joining us for the first time. We embark on new opportunities with a sense of optimism for both our faculty and trainees.
To our medical students, residents, and fellows: your progress is central to our mission. We are continuing to foster the rich educational environment that enables your fulfilling training experience in patient care and research. We anticipate this journey will be deeply rewarding.
The commitment of our faculty to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and research is the cornerstone of the DGSOM efforts as we participate in the preparation of the next generation of medical professionals. Our commitment is reflected in the breadth of our programs. We have 859 medical students and 1,367 residents and fellows across more than 100 ACGME-accredited programs. There is also the Graduate Program in Biosciences that includes 436 PhD students and 455 postdoctoral fellows. We want to acknowledge and praise our faculty and staff for their unwavering dedication as they guide our students and trainees in all aspects of medicine and science.
As we proceed with education and discovery, we are working together to create the environment in which innovation is rewarded and our students and trainees are both challenged and inspired to make an impact in clinical care, research and community engagement.
Thank you all for your commitment to our shared mission.
