Research Day is an annual event showcasing research, creativity, and innovation across academic disciplines in the Department of Medicine at UCLA. It highlights the prestigious research and creative work conducted by our faculty, trainees, students, and staff. Research Day celebrates academic excellence by giving the campus community the opportunity to come together and exchange scholarly activities, share new ideas, and allow for engagement among peers. The program will feature a plenary session, poster session, and breakout poster discussion sessions in Basic Research, Health Services Research and Clinical Translational Research.

  1. Principle Investigators with extramural funding are required to submit at least one poster for the poster session. Eligible Junior Faculty and Trainees are encouraged to participate in the poster competition.

  3. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Cheng, MD as the new associate director of interventional cardiology (IC) in the UCLA Department of Medicine Division of Cardiology
  4. Dr. Cheng completed dual fellowship training in structural IC and advanced heart disease at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He is additionally board certified in echocardiography, computerized tomography and nuclear cardiology.
